Who can benefit? :

Financial assistance scheme for destitute old people and destitute handicapped is being implemented in the state from 01/07/18. Destitute elderly persons aged 60 years and above should not have a son aged 21 years or above. Benefits can be obtained if the adult son is mentally unstable or suffers from a serious illness such as cancer, TB. The annual income of the applicant should not be more than Rs.1,50,000 / - for urban area and Rs.1,50,000 / - for rural area. Must have been living in Gujarat permanently for at least 10 years.

What is the benefit ?:
If the age of the applicant is 20 years or more, monthly Rs. 500 / - The amount of assistance to the beneficiary is credited to the beneficiary's account by DBT. Are deposited.

The application form is available free of cost at the following office. District Collector's Office. Province Office. Taluka Mamlatdar Office and Public Service Center.

When does the aid stop:
When a 21 year old son is born. As the annual income increases.

Provision of Appeal:
There is a provision to appeal to the Provincial Officer if the application is denied.

Vay Vandana (Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme):
The benefit of this scheme can be availed by the destitute old people living below the poverty line (BPL) who are above 6 years of age.

Who got help?
1. Women as well as men aged 3 years and above The list includes families living below the poverty line

Receivable assistance:
Rs. 500 per month (Rs. 200 per month if you are 20 years of age or older from the post by money order)

Supporting evidence:
1. BPL Ration card (proof of inclusion in BPL list) Proof of age (birth certificate, school certificate, or, medical officer's certificate) Passport size photos Election Card Mamlatdar Office.
